I performed multiple roles and
responsibilities, in a 2 year project to integrate, 3 different nationwide
companies, with varied operating systems and networks into a single, 75 +
server, 600+ User network. This project encompassed hardware, network, and software
upgrades, of servers, PCs/laptops, sonic wall firewalls, switches,
installation of T1s, and printers. The completion of this project required
that I have MS 2003 server administration ability, and extensive knowledge of
our network structure.. Additional assignments included the administration,
of 4 different accounting systems, 2 UNIX based, 1 web based and 1 DOS based.
DMSI +, ACCPAC, Accutech, and DMSI Agility. These responsibilities
encompassed new user set ups, security levels, account location access, new
printer setups and printer trouble shooting, fonts; fax monitoring, reports
creation and problem resolution, macros, and connectivity issues. This
required an extensive knowledge of accounting practices, which enabled me to
be effective, in my communication and issue problem resolution.I was
considered the company expert, on the BNA Desktop Pro accounting
software/databases, asset management, and state tax compliance modules.I
resolved issues with a financial transaction system, Chase Bank check
scanning and bank processing. Utilized the same skill set, to support, a
document scanning program, web based, Worldview. Problem resolution with
these systems required the ability, to resolve various issues, such as,
internet security settings, installation of active X controls and programs,
website access, viewers, and document importation, from the scanning systems,
into accounting software and banking systems.I also performed the role of
negotiation, project technical documentation, and compliance, of contracts
and payments with hardware, software, on site technicians, and communication
vendors. The ability of clarity of communication, with the Accounting
Controllers, department, was paramount to the success, of minimizing costs,
and enhancing value of acquired assets, and corporate profit, being the
important considerations.I utilized, GotoAssist, or WEBEX to remotely
control, client’s machines, to provide stress free resolution of issues. I
administrated the WEBEX remote desktop sharing, and tele-conferencing.I
